Enterprise Green Communities Technical Assistance

Enterprise Green Communities (EGC) helps developers, investors, builders and policymakers make the transition to a green future for affordable housing. They developed the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria to bring the improved health, economic and environmental benefits of sustainable construction practices to low-income families. This green building framework, the first in the nation to address the unique needs of the affordable housing sector, provides a holistic approach to green building and development.

C.J. Brown Energy was selected to join the Enterprise Green Communities Technical Assistance Provider Network based on our exceptional professional services qualifications and our demonstrated expertise in the design, construction, rehabilitation, and operations of green affordable housing, to include the following areas: Integrative Design Process/Design Review; Data Analysis/Portfolio Benchmarking; Energy Modeling; Renewable Energy & Stormwater Management; Audits, Inspections & Performance Testing; and Comprehensive Green Capital Needs Assessment (GCNA) Services.

In addition, we assist developers of affordable housing meet Enterprise Green Communities Criteria as one of the green standards developers that can be used for projects funded under the New York State Homes and Community Renewal’s Multi-Family Program. Services have been provided for projects including Highland School Apartments, Crerand Commons II, Big Tree Glen, Biltmore Crossing and Niagara City Lofts, among others.
